Learning The Parable Of The Sower For Kids

Jesus tells this parable that people are like the seeds sown on the wayside, rocks, among weeds or good soil. I don't want to sidetrack the major theme, but your initial statement about how much we can keep learning from the parables brings to my mind the absolute number one reason in my thinking from early in my life undergirding a firm belief in the inspiration of the Bible.
Here are the parables I've included: the Parable of the Sower, the Parable of the Weeds, the Parable of the Unmerciful Servant, the Parable of the Good Samaritan, the Parable of the Lost Sheep, the Parable of the Prodigal Son, and the Parable of the Talents.



The THORNY PLACES represent people who hear the word of God, accept the gospel, get baptized into the Church but then get distracted by the care of the world, such as money, pride, lying, cheating, materialism, keeping up with the Jones', peer pressure, gluttony, selfishness, or laziness to name but a few distractions.
In the parable the farmer sowed seeds and the seeds fell into four different kinds of soil. We must remove the rocks” and weeds” and till up the The Parable of the Sower For Kids soil of our hearts to soften them. During the time of Jesus' ministry , He often taught about the Kingdom of Heaven on earth through parables.

Read and study our Bibles, go to church and Sunday school, spend lots of time in prayer, commit to living for Jesus, don't hang out with people who pull you away from God, don't watch TV all the time etc. Use this opportunity to share God's Word with others. When we're interpreting Jesus' parables, it's easy to attach too much meaning to every component of the story.
You can easily find object lessons on Faith, God's love, Salvation , Forgiveness…and many other subjects. Our lesson happened to line up with Mothers day so this craft was the perfect combination of Mothers Day and a seed craft to go along with our Parable of the Sower.

He prayed for people and God heard and answered Jesus' prayers. Kids need bite-sized pieces of God's Word. Say: Jesus tells us that the seed is God's Word. We can help our kids learn about the importance of God's Word with an easy-to-understand Bible Study. Christians in whom the seed of the gospel has taken root ought to become sowers.
