BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: If you like Minecraft, you're absolutely going to love Summer of Minecraft - an online summer camp program starting June 27 where kids 9-14 will learn Beginning and Intermediate Coding, Game Design, and Engineering in Minecraft in a safe, multiplayer environment.
But those investments are dwarfed by the $50 million the state Legislature approved in 2018 for programs that will train workers in the technology skills needed by the major defense contractors and manufacturers, and the more than 4,000 small suppliers that call Connecticut home.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Our mission is to introduce, capture, and retain the interest of young people, K-12, in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) and Design-related fields by providing practical, hands-on, real-world projects and the opportunity for students to create, design, develop, implement and test their own ideas.

Assistants and Substitutes will assist in providing homework help and engaging children in the program's fun, interactive S.T.A.R. (science, technology, art and recreation) enrichment and Learn to code West Hartford literacy curriculum activities. Finally, learning camps are a way to combat the dreaded summer slide” or that thing where your kid gets dumber during the months they're not in school.
Now hiring for summer staff: lifeguards, maintenance, kitchen, ropes course, arts & crafts and other activities. Our program is aligned with educational standards and designed to meet the needs of primary and intermediate students. Kaitlyn McGrath, a meteorologist from NBC Connecticut came to visit students today at Renbrook School in West Hartford.

Academy Introduction to Mission (AIM): AIM is designed for students entering their senior year of high school and consists of seven action-packed days from reveille at 0600 to taps at 2200 where students live the life of a Coast Guard Academy cadet. While summer makes many think of popsicles, parks, and festivals we KNOW as moms that it can also be a frustrating time where you are struggling to piece childcare together week by week and month by month.
